My Google Chrome rant encapsulatedPosted by: Jen Kramer on Sep 02, 2008 |

The first pane of the first page of the comic book on Google Chrome says this:
"Today, most of what we use the web for on a day-to-day basis aren't just web pages, they're applications."
Ok, pop quiz: How many people's favorite non-technical friend has any clue what a web application (or any kind of computer application) is? What is a definition?
Thought so. Certainly not my mom (a smart lady to boot), certainly not a pile of my clients.
Talk to your users, Google!!!
ps: For those of you who look at this geeky blog and say "but Jen, you do it too", I disagree. This blog is written for web developers, primarily developers in the Joomla community. Our understanding is there is a fundamental level of technical knowledge. So, for example, if you work with Joomla, one would hope you know it's a web application...
I just asked, via Twitter (jen4web is me): Can someone give me the top 5 reasons I should use Google Chrome, without technobabble?
I'll post the answers later.
