Four Entry Windows

There was a designer who recently targeted Joomla as being "evil," which caused a very active debate to ensue. Yes, the comment was biased, but I think the characterization was aimed at the difficulty of nudging type in a layout. You can't easily move that type, without knowing which "layer" you're working in. Modification "on the fly" can be difficult when you're opening and closing multiple entry windows.

I find it helpful to open four administrative windows at once in order to manage the SCAM. Do you have any other tips of this nature? - Charlie Duane

Thanks for some clues

I am especially interested in #4 and will check blog table layout settings. As we discussed before, I am interested in how articles can be arranged on the Front Page without as you say creating menu items for them. I remember you also pointed out how it is also possible to create a description of a section or category and publish it on the home page, if it's something that is static more or less. Something that wants to be there all the time. I want to be able to arrange articles on the home page without necessarily using module positions.

Thanks,
