			<title>A Mac user's hint</title>
			<link>http://www.joomla4web.com/blog/CMS-Expo-Time-Again-.html#comment-25</link>
<description>I wanted to thank you very much for teaching the class. I was able to produce my first every Joomla template last night. Very cool! Oh yeah and, &quot; How easy was that?&quot; :)

I thought I would pass on one hint though, since about 80% of the room were Mac users. When you go to zip up the file, most Mac users will select the files they want and pull down the menu to compress in the finder. However, in doing this Mac's create an extra file in the zip file named ._templateDetails.xml which causes an error in the install process. To get around this open up a terminal window, cd into the directory you want to zip up and type the command:
export COPYFILE_DISABLE=true
then:
zip -r myTemplate.zip *
You can run the zip command as many times as you want without retyping the first command. Once you close the terminal window, then you will have to retype it.

Again, great class! - John Abbott</description>
